Q. Do you add VAT onto the final bill?
A. No – we do not add VAT, or any other costs onto the final bill. What you are quoted, is what you will pay.
Q. Do you charge a call out fee?
A. We do not charge any type of call out fee. 9 times out of 10 an accurate quote can be given over the phone. On the occasions we cant give a quote over the phone, we will visit your property and give you a free, no obligation quote.
Q. I’m locked out, how much to open my door?
A. Our current prices range from £60 to £75 to open a locked door – depending on the time of the call, and the type of lock to be opened.
Q. Can you open my door without destroying the locks?
A. The majority of times we can open a door without destroying the locks. We are trained in all methods of non destructive entry, and use a variety of tools to open all types of locks. However, certain locks are becoming near impossible to open non destructively, like the British standard mortice lock (this is why insurance companies recommend them). If a lock does need destroyed to be opened, we will always consult the customer first, and a new lock will will be offered at a discounted price.
Q. How much does it cost to change locks?
A. For changing locks we charge a labour fitting fee plus the price of the lock. The total cost of a typical lock change ranges from £65 to £85 – depending on the lock being fitted.

Q. Do you fix UPVC – multi point locking doors and windows?
A. Yes – UPVC doors and windows are one of our specialities. Some companies will tell you, you need to spend hundreds of pounds repairing these units. However, our UPVC locksmith Edinburgh service can be delivered at a fraction of the cost.

Q. Are you available at nights and at the weekend?
A. We aim to deliver an emergency locksmith service at all times. If for some reason we cannot attend your job, we will refer you to another Edinburgh trusted trader locksmith.
